Yoga Class Descriptions
A yoga flow integrating core work that strengthens, stretches and balances the body and mind. Open to all levels.
Vigorous Vinyasa Yoga/Core Vinyasa
An energizing flow that may incorporate arm balances, inversions and back bending sequences. Previous yoga experience recommended but not required. Open to all levels.
Slower in pace, focusing on proper alignment and relaxation. Poses are held longer, building stamina and mindfulness. Open to all levels.
Relax & Restore
After a long week, come unwind and treat yourself to this slower paced, gentle class which incorporates deep stretching, slow flow, and longer held supported postures. Class will end with an extra long savasana to leave you rested and refreshed.
Prenatal Yoga (Melrose)
Pregnancy is a transitional time for women, when many physical and emotional changes take place. Prenatal yoga is about honoring these changes in yourself, your body and your baby. Postures and breathing help strengthen the uterus and pelvic muscles, and keep the body flexible, while focus on the breath helps connect mother and baby. Prepare your body for a healthy, mindful, more natural approach to the challenges of labor and childbirth. All yoga levels welcome.
Core Yoga* (Portsmouth)
A vigorous vinyasa flow with integrated core work that emphasizes strength and balance and prepares you to work toward different arm balances and/or inversions each class. Modifications and options for all levels will be offered, so come prepared to sweat, strengthen, play, and deepen your practice regardless of experience.
*The last Wednesday of each month we will be acoustic yoga. This includes a candle-lit vinyasa flow accompanied with live acoustic music.
